1.

Approval is recommended to enter into price agreements (107-09) with Diamond International and Central Power Systems and Services, Inc., for IHC, Diesel & Transmission Parts & Service for various City departments, for the period January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2009, with two optional one-year renewal periods.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

Approval is requested on the application of Hy-Vee, Inc. for a Retailer of Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package License and Sunday Sales License for Hy-Vee Gas #1 located 1523 E. 23rd Street. This application requires a two-thirds majority vote for approval due to residentially zoned property located within three hundred (300) feet of the proposed establishment.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order to Archer Engineers (d.b.a HDR/Archer Engineers) in the amount of $33,095.00 for the engineering design of storm water drainage repairs and improvements in six residential neighborhoods located throughout the City, for the Water Pollution Control Department.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (148-09) with Midwest Wheel Companies for Transmission and Power Take-Off (PTO) Parts and Service for the period of January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2009, with two, one-year renewable options.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amount.

08-779 - A Resolution authorizing a Christmas adoption special for kittens/cats and puppies/dogs to run from December 13, 2008, through and including December 20, 2008, by foregoing $10.00 of the adoption fee for kittens/cats and $20.00 of the adoption fee for puppies/dogs and foregoing the $10.00 microchip during this time.
