Reports and Recommendations of the City Manager

  1. Approval is recommended on the certification of the April 3, 2018 Mayor/At-Large Councilmember election results, from the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners.

  2. Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (386-18) with Guier Fence for fence materials and installation services for City departments for the period April 17, 2018, through March 31, 2019, with two possible one-year extensions.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  3. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order, in the amount of $195,974.00, to C & M Restoration for the Blue Valley Water Treatment Repair project for the Power & Light Department.

  4. Council action is recommended to enter into a price agreement (195-18) with D & S Callahan Construction for street cut repairs for the period of April 17, 2018 through March 31, 2019. This agreement contains two, one-year renewal options. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amount.

  5. Council action is recommended to enter into a price agreement (146-18) with Mississippi Lime Company for Rotary Kiln Lime for the Water Department for the period of April 17, 2018, through March 31, 2019. At the sole option of the City, the agreement may be renewed for two, one-year periods. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  6. Approval is recommended to amend the Schedule of Fees for the City of Independence related to Special Event permitting and to establish rental fees for Independence Uptown Market to be effective April 17, 2018.
