Reports and Recommendations of the City Manager

  1. Approval of minutes for the Regular Meetings on February 5, 2018 and February 26, 2018.

  2. A request for Council approval on the application of WCA of Missouri, LLC. for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity as a refuse and trash collector.

  3. A request for Council approval to authorize the City Manager to direct the Police Department to submit applications and participate in the 2018/2019 Hazardous Moving Violation grant as provided through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Division.

  4. A request for Council approval to authorize the City Manager to direct the Police Department to submit applications and participate in the 2018/2019 DWI Enforcement Grant as provided through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Division.

  6. Council action is recommended to issue a change order to purchase order number 146765 in the amount of $27,700.00 for steel structural repairs for Sludge Valve House #2 at the Courtney Bend Water Plant for the Water Department. The purchase order would increase to $62,950.

  7. Approval is recommended to issue a change order to purchase order #146115 in the amount of $8,000.00 for additional HVAC maintenance and service at City facilities to Energy Tech Solutions for the Public Works Department. The purchase order would increase to $52,500.00.

  8. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to Ergoflex Systems, Inc dba Xybix, in the amount of  $217,723.95 for Dispatch Consoles and Storage Package for the Independence Communications Center for the Police and Fire Department.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  9. Council action is requested to enter into a price agreement (300-18) with Right-of-Way Management Consultant Group (Skeens Consulting Services) for Land Acquisition Services Provider (LASP) services for one year with the possibility of two one-year extensions for the Public Works Department.
