Reports and Recommendations of the City Manager

  1. Council action is requested to adopt the 2018 State Legislative Policy. 

    Approved

  2. Approval is recommended to award the City’s excess liability insurance program through Lockton Companies, with ten million dollars of coverage provided by Allied World Insurance Company, effective January 1, 2018, with an annual premium of $179,837.

  3. Approval is recommended to renew the City’s general liability, employment practice liability, healthcare malpractice liability, employee benefits liability, public official liability, law enforcement liability, garage keepers liability, automobile liability insurance and cyber & information breach liability coverage with Missouri Public Entity Risk Management Fund effective January 1, 2018, with an estimated annual premium of $684,301.

  4. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to American Equipment Company, in the amount of $101,553.00 for a Tandem body, plow, spreader and hydraulics for the Public Works Department.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  5. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to American Equipment Company in the amount of $200,202.00 for truck bodies, plows, spreader and hydraulics for the Public Works Department.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  6. Council action is requested to enter into price agreements (375-17) with Martin Underground Construction and K & W Underground Inc., for Fiber Optic Construction for the Power & Light Department. These are one year agreements with four, one year renewal options. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  7. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to Mauell Corporation, in the amount of $109,000.00, for Engineering and Architectural services required for the Electric Utility Operations Control Room Upgrade Project (No. 70201605).

  8. Council action is requested to enter into a price agreement (378-17) with Blue Hat Crane to provide crane services for the Power & Light Department. This is a one-year agreement with four, one-year renewal periods. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

  9. Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to Junior's Construction, in the amount of $82,000.00 for the demolition of 1010 W. Hayward Avenue. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.
