PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing on an application for Wild Stallion Properties, LLC to expand their existing licensed premises to include an outdoor patio for their Tavern Intoxicating Liquor by the Drink License and Sunday Sales License for the Wild Stallion Saloon located at 925 E. US 24 Highway.  Full public hearing.  This application requires a two-third majority vote for approval due to residential property being located within three hundred (300) feet of the establishment.

CONSENT AGENDA
Reports and Recommendations of the City Manager
1.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order to Eaton OPC, in the amount of $906,149.00, for substation F switchgear for the Power & Light Department.



2.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (343-13) with Phillips Paving for asphalt trails for the Parks and Recreation Department for the period June 1, 2013, through May 31, 2014. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.



3.

Approval is recommended to enter into price agreements (116-13) with Cargill, Inc and Central Salt L.L.C. for de-icer salt for the Public Works Department, for the period June 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014 with two one-year renewal options. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.



4.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (#199-13) for General Carpentry and Construction Maintenance Services with Rand Construction for the Public Works Department for the period May 21, 2013 through April 30, 2014 with two, one-year renewal options.



5.

Approval is requested on the application from Taquitos Jalisco, LLC, to transfer the existing liquor licenses for a Restaurant Bar Intoxicating Liquor by the Drink License and Sunday Sales License to Taquitos Jalisco located at 17104 E. US 24 Highway as the new owner of this establishment.



6.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order to Confluence in the amount of $60,500 for development of the Truman Road Green Gateway Plan for the Community Development Department.



7.

ORDINANCES

13-056 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing a contract with the firm of Herner Construction, Inc., for the Fire Station Number 2 Remodel project, in an amount not to exceed $369,500.00; and authorizing minor change orders for an amount not to exceed $36,950.00 and/or time extensions.



13-057 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing a contract with Jackson County, Missouri, for the renovation of the Historic Truman Courthouse for purposes of housing a Visitors Center and the Tourism Department, in an amount not to exceed $238,057.00; authorizing minor change orders for an amount not to exceed $35,000.00 and/or time extensions; making the necessary appropriations; and repealing Ordinance No. 18071.



13-058 - 2R. An ordinance ratifying a Participation Agreement for State investment in Local Public Health Services with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and accepting the one-time lump sum of $128,170.93 for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, for the Health Department; appropriating the necessary funds; and authorizing future change orders and appropriations for the same project.
