ORDINANCES

13-024 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing a renewal agreement with CIGNA for Third Party Administration and Network Services pertaining to the Stay Well Open Access Health Care Plans 1 and 2 and Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plan for a 12-month period, effective January 1, 2014, allowing for two possible one-year renewals.



13-025 - 2R. An ordinance approving a Zoning Map Amendment changing the zoning classification for the property located at 17007 E. US 40 Highway from District R-6 (Single-Family Residential) to C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial). Case#13-100-02



13-026 - 2R. An ordinance approving a Zoning Map Amendment as to a tract of ground located generally at E. Jackson Drive and Little Blue Parkway, in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri and changing the zoning classification thereof from R-A (Residential Agricultural) to B-P/PUD (Business Park/Planned Unit Development) and approving a Preliminary Development Plan for a Quik-Trip. 13-027 - 2R. An ordinance terminating the designation of the Cornerstone Redevelopment Area as a Redevelopment Area, terminating the Redevelopment Agreement and dissolving the Special Allocation Fund of the Cornerstone Redevelopment Area and doing all things necessary to close out the Cornerstone Redevelopment Project.



13-028 - 2R. An ordinance finding, determining and declaring the necessity of acquiring General Utility Easements and Temporary Construction and Grading Easements for the Sugar Creek Interceptor Improvements – Segment 10A; authorizing the negotiation and eminent domain proceedings if necessary; approving the plans and specifications for the project; authorizing the use of experts as needed; authorizing and directing the execution of documents and the payment of funds to property owners or others holding property rights, in conjunction with the project.

13-030 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing renewal of an agreement between the City and Friends of the Truman Depot, for a term of one year, and allowing for four additional one-year renewals.

An ordinance authorizing acceptance of the 2013 Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Memorandum of Understanding for the Kansas City/Overland Park DEA Task Force, and related documents, with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, for a grant award in the amount of $67,893.12.00; making the necessary appropriations; authorizing future change orders for additional funding and/or time extensions; and authorizing certain future appropriations.



13-034 - 1R. An ordinance establishing that the City of Independence will maintain the 9.08% rate for the Business License Tax on the gross receipts of KCP&L through the recently approved Missouri Public Service Commission 9.64% rate increase.
