Reports and Recommendations of the City Manager

Approval is requested on the application for Kitty Kat Klub, LLC to transfer the existing Tavern Intoxicating Liquor by Drink License from Norm & Betty’s to the Kitty Kat Klub located at 11713 E. 23rd Street as the new owner of this tavern.


13-700 - A resolution recognizing Amy Roberts, Administrative Specialist II, in the Police Department, as the Employee of the Month for January, 2013.

13-701 - A resolution correcting the terms of office stated in Resolution No. 5790, for the reappointments of Judy Grubb and Jennifer Kiely to the Storm Water Control Oversight Committee.

13-702 - A resolution reaffirming the current Independence Emergency Operations Center (EOC) location as the primary Emergency Operations Center and Emergency Coordination Center for the City of Independence.

Emergency Purchase Order 136899 was issued to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, in the amount of $100,000, for outside prisoner housing for the Police Department.



Emergency Purchase Order 136926 was issued to the Caldwell County Detention Center, in the amount of $165,000, for outside prisoner housing for the Police Department.
