Arrowhead Avenue.  Full public hearing.  This liquor license application requires a two-thirds majority vote for approval due to residential property being located within three hundred (300) feet of the existing premises.

1.

Approval is recommended to issue Change Order 2 to Purchase Order 129313 to Olsson Associates in the amount of $7,207.00 for additional engineering and design services within the Springbranch East Industrial Park Storm Drainage Capital Improvement Project area for the Water Pollution Control Department. This change order will bring the total amount of the purchase order to $87,445.00.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (131-12) with Barbour Concrete Company, Blue Springs Winwater and Water & Sewer Supply for the Water and Water Pollution Control Departments for manhole and valve box covers, ring steps, grates and frames for the period of May 22, 2012, through April 30,  2013. with two, one-year renewal options.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement with P. Moore and Moore for janitorial services for the Water Pollution Control Department for the period June 1, 2012, through May 31, 2013, with two, one-year renewal options. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

Anderson Builders for the Little Blue Parkway, Phase 10 project, for an amount not to exceed $3,859,395.14; authorizing minor change orders for an amount not to exceed $385,000.00 and/or time extensions; and making the necessary appropriations. (Postponed from the May 7, 2012 meeting.)



12-037 - 2R. An ordinance vacating an Electrical Utility Easement located within Susquehanna Village Lot 143 at 17301 E. US 24 Highway, in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.

12-041 - 2R. An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 17811, by correcting and revising one (1) legal description related to the Rock Creek Interceptor Improvements – Segment 1, Project Nos. 70301004 and 70301108, in order to acquire fee simple title acquisition for the project.

The City Clerk has received notification that the City Manager has accepted a grant from the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission in the amount of $6,000.00, for the Police Department, for the period of May 21-June 3, 2012. These funds will be used to reimburse overtime worked to conduct aggressive driving enforcement activities during the upcoming holidays.

The City Clerk has received notification that the City Manager has accepted a grant from the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission in the amount of $3,898.00, for the Police Department, for the period of May 12-20, 2012.  These funds will be used to reimburse overtime worked to enforce traffic laws such as aggressive driving, speed, Seat Belt, Child Safety Restraint and DWI laws.
