PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing for applications by Debra Thomas to rezone properties at 9507 and 9515 E. 32nd Street South from R-6 (Single-Family Residential) to R-18-PUD (Moderate Density Residential Planned Unit Development), Case No. 11-125-01 and for a Special Use Permit for a Nursing Home, Case No. 11-200-02. 1.

Approval is recommended to enter into a price agreement (191-11) with Ace Pipe Cleaning for condenser and hydrogen cooler tube cleaning for the Power & Light Department. If approved, the agreement period will be December 6, 2011 through December 31, 2012 with two, one-year extensions at the City’s option. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

Approval is recommended to enter into price agreements (292-11) with Graybar Electric, Wesco Distribution and CG Power Systems USA for the purchase of pole-mount and pad-mount transformers for the Power & Light Department.  This agreement period will be January 1, 2012, through December 31, 2012, with four, one-year renewals at the City’s option.  Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amounts.

Approval is recommended to accept the proposal from Humana to provide specific and aggregate reinsurance for the Stay Well Health Care Program for the 2012 Plan Year.

Approval is requested on the application SAS USA, LLC for a Retailer of Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package and Sunday Sales License for Smoke 4 Less and Convenience Store located at 1701 S. Noland Road. This liquor license application requires a two-thirds majority vote for approval due to residential property being located within three hundred (300) feet of the existing premises.

Approval is requested on the application of Cosentino Enterprises, Inc to transfer the existing Retailer of Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package License and Sunday Sales License for the Sun Fresh located at 18001 E. US 24 Highway.

11-759 - A resolution recognizing Tracy Davenport, Animal Services Officer, in the Health Department, as the Employee of the Month for December, 2011.



11-760 - A resolution endorsing and supporting Animal Shelter Adoption Specials, to forego a portion of the adoption fee for Shelter animals.




11-761 - A resolution accepting the FY 2010-2011 report of the License Surcharge Annual Review Committee, adopting the report’s recommendations and adopting no rate change for the calendar year 2012 for the License Surcharge fee.

11-098 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing continuation of the Commercial and Industrial Rebate Program which provides incentive rebates to qualifying power and light customers who install specified qualifying energy conservation measures on or after November 1, 2011.



11-099 - 2R. An ordinance amending the City’s Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual by amending Article VI, Section b, to include language on snow removal.
