1.

Approval is recommended to enter into a contract with AT&T for Internet Circuit Connectivity for various City departments with a current fiscal year expenditure of $13,465.35 with a 36 month contract with a total cost of $53,861.40.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order in the amount of $92,533 to Rand Construction Company for the replacement of the Blue Valley Power Plant store room rooftop's air conditioning unit.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order to Fletcher-Reinhardt Company, in the amount of $72,000.00, for three 15kV switchgear units for the Power & Light Department.

Approval is recommended to issue a purchase order to Invensys Foxboro Systems Inc. in the amount of $77,310.00 for an annual services agreement for the Distributive Control System at the Blue Valley Power Plant for the Power & Light Department.

ORDINANCES

11-091 - 2R. An ordinance vacating a portion of one (1) right-of-way, a portion of one (1) electrical utility easement, a portion of one (1) blanket electrical utility easement, and a portion of one (1) sanitary sewer easement located in Section 28, Township 49 North, Range 31 West, in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri.



11-092 - 2R. An ordinance ratifying an interlocal agreement with Jackson County, Missouri, and accepting funding for a 2011 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant award in the amount of $73,206.00 for the Police Department; making the necessary appropriations; and authorizing future change orders and appropriations for the same project.



11-093 - 2R. An ordinance authorizing execution of change order number 1 to the contract for the Police Building Drainage Improvements project with Clay County Sanitary and Ditching for an increase of $9,493.83.

11-524 - An emergency ordinance authorizing the borrowing of $19,025,000 from the Missouri Development Finance Board in connection with the refinancing or payment of certain costs related to construction of a multipurpose events center and redevelopment costs described in two separate tax increment financing plans previously approved by the City; approving the form of and authorizing the execution of three supplemental financing agreements relating to such projects with the Missouri Development Finance Board; providing for the administration of certain special allocation funds previously created by the City; and prescribing other matters relating thereto.



11-525 - An ordinance increasing appropriations in the amount of $230,187.00 in the Operating and Capital Budgets for various departments and capital projects, transferring appropriations in the amount of $53,716.00 in the Capital Budget for the Water Pollution Control Department, and making other budget adjustments as necessary for the City of Independence, Missouri, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012. Appropriation ordinances may receive two readings and be voted on at the same meeting.
