The City Clerk has received notification that the City Manager has accepted a Child Passenger Safety Enforcement grant for the Police Department, from the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, in the amount of $2,000.00.  The funds will be used to reimburse police officers for overtime worked while enforcing traffic laws during the period of September 18 - 24, 2011.

The City Clerk has received notification from the City Manager that the Independence Events Center Management Corporation has entered into a tenant lease agreement with Top of the Arc, LLC.  Under this agreement, the Independence Events Center will continue to be home to the Missouri Comets.
