The Water Department needs to replace the Filter No. 3 protective coating systems inside and out as part of a larger renovation project. Replacement of the protective coating system protects the steel structure of the filter, preventing corrosion, and damage. The filter requires renovation to maintain and extend the filter’s service life. Filter No. 3 provides the Courtney Bend Water Plant 4 million gallons per day filtering capacity. It, along with the other 13 filters of the Courtney Bend Water Plant, is vital to the Water Department’s ability to provide potable water to the City.
