Agenda Title:

Council action is requested on the application from Moran Foods, LLC to transfer the existing Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package License and Sunday Sales License for the Save-A-Lot #442 grocery store located at 3500 S. Blue Ridge Cutoff due to a change in corporate ownership.
Recommendations:

This application meets the requirements of the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code.

Background:

The Council approved an Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package License and Sunday Sales License to Save-A-Lot #442 in 2006.  The applicant is purchasing the currently licensed Save-A-Lot #442.  The applicant is requesting Council approval to transfer the existing liquor licensed to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package seven days a week to them as the new owners of this establishment.

The LLC appointed Ms. Anna Vogel as Managing Officer for purposes of this liquor license.  Ms. Vogel is active in other licenses issued by the City and by the Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. The background investigation conducted by the Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Ms. Vogel, and the other principle corporate members, revealed they do not have any violations that would disqualify them from obtaining a liquor license from the City.

Applicable City Departments reviewed the application and the attached Inspection Report includes their comments.
