Agenda Title:

Council action is recommended to enter into a price agreement (195-17) with D & S Callahan Construction for street cut repairs for the period of April 4, 2017 through March 31, 2018. This agreement contains two, one-year renewal options. Expenditures will not exceed budgeted amount.

Council action is recommended to enter into a price agreement. 


Price agreements establish set prices for services or commodities that remain in effect for a designated period of time.  This allows City departments to use the agreements in the performance of their operations without requiring a bid process each time a service or commodity is required. This price agreement will be used primarily used by the Water Department.  Any damage to City streets as a result of water main breaks will be repaired using this price agreement.

The Purchasing Division issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for street cut repairs on January 20, 2017.  Five bids were received: D & S Callahan Construction, McConnell and Associates, Moaz Construction, Musselman and Hall Contractors, and Phillip's Paving Co., Inc.  Callahan was the lowest, responsive bidder and met all minimum requirements of the the ITB. Callahan is the current provider of this service and has performed to the satisfaction of the Water Department.  See the attached bid tabulation.
