This is only a portion of the main on James Downey that is going to be replaced from north of 23rd Street to Sunset Dr. which had 26 main breaks in the last 32 years resulting in thousands of dollars in road repairs. The existing water main is under the pavement of James Downey. The Water Department is proposing to install a new 6-inch ductile iron main along James Downey outside of the paved roadway.
