In November 2016, City Council approved a two-year contract with Strategic Capitol Consulting LLC for lobbying services for the Power and Light Department. The contract was competitively solicited using the City’s RFP process, with six firms responding.
SSC’s principal, Steven Tilley, has extensive lobbying experience, and SCC client resume is very extensive with several state and national corporations. SSC has delivered acceptable services as promised the past two years. The current contract will expire October 31, 2018, and has the option to extend.
The current contract rate is $66,000/year. SSC has proposed an increase to $120,000/year.
