Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Policy
Recommendations:

Accept the report from staff regarding the Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Policy. Staff seeks direction from Council on four recommendations outlined in the presentation. 
Executive Summary:

Public Works Director Tim Gramling will present proposed policy changes for using Street Sales Tax renewal funds (after January 2020) for enhanced curb and sidewalk maintenance. The citizen Street Sales Tax Renewal Committee suggested in its final report in April 2017 that the City Council reevaluate its policies on maintaining curbs and sidewalks. 

Background:

The presentation will provide information regarding existing and proposed policies for maintaining sidewalks and curb & gutter. Staff proposes four changes to current policy that are summarized in the attached presentation. The recommendations would become effective when the Street Sales Tax renews in January 2020. Topics to be covered in the presentation include the Street Sales Tax Renewal Committee recommendations, Independence for All priorities, ballot language, cost considerations and expenditures.
