The City is responsible for repairing water service line leaks that occur within the City's right-of-way. The Water Department repairs some of the service line leaks, but does not have the manpower to take care of all of them. This price agreement will contract with the awarded company for the overload of service line leaks. This price agreement also includes prices to install curb stops and curb boxes so the Water Department can make emergency shut-offs if an existing curb stop is not accessible.
The Procurement Division issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for water service line repair on November 13, 2017. The ITB was published on the City’s website through Public Purchase, the City’s e-bidding provider, which notified 98 potential bidders; 11 accessed the ITB.
One (1) bid from SHEDIGS IT LLC was received on November 27, 2017. The bid was determined to be responsive, responsible and met the minimum requirements of the ITB. Staff recommends award to SHEDIGS IT LLC.
Price agreements establish set prices that remain in effect for a designated period of time. This allows City departments to utilize the agreements in the performance of their operations without requiring a bid process each time a service or commodity is required.
