The engineer's cost estimate for the project is $629,937.00. The project is partially funded with federal surface transportation funds. These funds are administered by MoDOT. MoDOT has reviewed the construction bids and is in agreement to award the contract to Mega Industries. The contract provides that construction is to be completed within 180 calendar days, excluding December 15 through March 15. The ordinance provides for administrative approval of minor change orders not to exceed $65,600.00 and/or for time extensions. The ordinance appropriates the $550,800.00 of Federal Surface Transportation funds that are available to the project. The project local funding is from Street Sales Tax funds and was previously appropriated.
