Filter No. 4 provides the Courtney Bend Water Plant filtering capacity of 4 million gallons of water per day. This is one of 14 filters at the Courtney Bend Water Plant and is vital to the Water Department’s ability to provide potable water to the City, as required by state mandated guidelines. The replacement, which was last done over 15 years ago, is required to maintain and extend the filter’s service life.
The Procurement Division issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) on August 14, 2017, for the replacement of Filter No. 4. The ITB was published on the City's website through Public Purchase, the City's e-procurement provider, which notified 77 potential bidders; 44 accessed the ITB.
Four (4) bids were received on August 28, 2017. S4 Water Sales & Services, LLC submitted the lowest most responsive and responsible bid and met the minimum requirements of the ITB. Staff recommends award to S4 Water Sales & Services, LLC.
